This is my video essay for the 2011 Pearson Prize, explaining why I have dedicated my life to social justice: the legacy of what my mother has done for me, who wanted for me and my sister what she could not have for herself.

-interned and worked at NARAL(women's rights), Ya Ya Network (anti-war), and Welfare Rights Initiative (education rights)
