Sucks that they wouldn't let you in the onsen. I have tattoos too. So I most likely am not gonna be going to one, when I come to japan. You would think that in this day and age people would be a little more understanding. Its not like tattoos are something new. Oh well. I guess everything has its price. Good video, man.

yeah, since japanese didn't really have tattoos except for yakuza, they associate tattoos with yakuza. Some places are no exceptions allowed, some places it doesn't matter, and a lot you can get away with just covering it up with a big bandage.

i have a tatto and i cover with a dressing as if u had an injury or a cut. if they ask i say its from kickboxing...it depends how big or where u have ur tattoo.

hehe sweet vid. I really want to visit Hokkaido one of these days. Japanese are very funny about sticking to rules with no exceptions. cow taking a #1. class haha

yeah, Hokkaido is pretty sweet, feels different from main land Japan. There's a lot of businesses ran by Yakuza around that area the first onsen I went to, so they prohibit tattoos totally. About the cows, well, funny I caught that on tape, so just had to add that in this vid, hehe, thanks for watchin! =)

haha, yeah I know what you mean. My father-in-law was on a business trip there so we tagged along. He took us around though to check out some cool stuff and it was nice to try out some of Hokkaido's food. Thanks for watching man!
