Also worth checking out is the Bushwackers' version on their "Faces in the Street" album. Not to mention the title track and "Freedom on the Wallaby" - both unionist Henry Lawson poems set to music. I doubt that they have ever rereleased it on CD but it is available on a few blogs if you are that way inclined. (Unfortunately the song doesn't seem to be on any of their recent compilations either)
Being an American I don't know that song, but I would like to. Next time you put a musical on maybe you could put the words for the first verse in the comments. And what is the Ballad of 1891 about? I liked it. The 2nd one to do so.
