I think the ones that are still on place can be started easily, those engines were built to stay on rooftops unattended for years and start quickly on request, the engine casings may be weather proof

@budw84 Read R. Murray Schafer's book "The New Soundscape". He talks about it in there, but I don't think it is the Chrysler. The loudspeaker that could do that only achieved it by producing ultra-sonic frequencies, way beyond human hearing, at very high amplitudes. Apart from digging through Schafer's research and some libraries you won't be able to find much info on it.

@budw84 you should punch whoever told you that.

@legaliseme Are you high? I could produce information, actually, quite easily. But I'm enjoying keeping you riled up about your more obvious anti-U.S. agenda. Go to forums on these engines if you have trouble believing me, talk to people who have experience with these motors. Oh wait...most of them will be Americans... will you be able to converse with them without being a moop? Probably not. Nevermind the fact that you can't be arsed to google the information yourself.
I heard rumors that the chrysler air raid siren was so powerful that the air coming out could set stuff on fire
