Gibson LP Std vs. Epi LP Custom

Here's a vid of me, testing my both electric guitars. I think the Gibson is way better than the Epi. The video is from bad quality and doesn't show the huge diffirence between both guitars as in real.

dude, a guitar is more than an instrument that produces a sound... A good quality guitar gets the best out of the player. That's what the gibson does to me; the epiphone is nice sounding though

I noticed the screws on the neck pickup are on the bottom.

@Blompcube My point is that there are myths & misconceptions that people just blindly believe because that's what they were told. Research & experiment for yourself. Wood is important with ACOUSTIC guitars but with solid-body electric guitars, wood contributes MUCH less than 50% of the tone...it's all about the electronics.

@holyass242 Epiphones also have maple tops according to their website. Besides, with solid-body electric guitars most of the tone comes from the electronics, not the wood.

The 2010 model Epiphone G400 Standard 62 Sg is still to this day conciderd to be the best standard Sg out today. And the 2011 Epiphone limited edition 50th Anniversary 1961 Sg reissues are prefferd over the Gibson model by Vintage guitar collectors. TRUE!

The EPIPHONE Custom Les Paul over a Gibson std. Les paul any day. Epiphone guitars are so under priced its pathetic. Gibson hay day is over. Epiphone 's has just started.

Alot of the Epiphone les pauls and sg's shit all over the Gibson models. Thats why your seeing more and more big name guitarist turning to Epiphone. Zakk wylde and Slash are just a start.

Usa consumer report has stated that the Gibson usa Authorized Epiphone les pauls and sg's are some of the best crafted guitars in the WORLD AT ANY PRICE. Vintge Gibson has said that Gibson could not have made the new Epiphone 1961 sg any better.

there is a difference but not a whole lot. when it comes down to it though everyone wants the best brand, same as like clothing or cars. like there might be a tshirt in a charity shop for a fiver, and in a designer shop there could be one similar for like a hundread quid lol.
