Having the most experienced weatherman in town is very marketable. But just saying that isn't enough. I think you have to find a way to make that experience mean something tangible to the viewers.

@DMWolFGurL Ice Storms are worse than snowstorms and are very dangerous. They cause a lot of accidents on the roads and get all over the trees and power lines, taking them down and causing power outages. I hate them.

@ILovestorms Yes we have had quite a few. Actually the remains of tropical storm Hermine just came through and in 2007 the remnants of tropical storm Erin came through with high winds, flooding, and lots of damage that FEMA paid for. What we get a lot of that does damage mainly is tornadoes and ice storms. In Dec of 09 was the first time since I was little that I actually saw a snow storm. That is only because we never get snow. We either get terrential ice fall or freezing rain and drizzle.

Only weather Oklahoma doesn't have is hurricanes, since the state, obvioulsy is well inland and not on the coast. However, has Oklahoma ever had rain from one, perhaps from one that made landfall in Texas?

Gary is one of the best weather men, anywhere. I was in the tornado he is talking about at :08, and he even put two of my picutres in his book. We love ya Gary!
