Looks like some pieces of Star Trek sets used for this episode.
-
A small elevator platform had to be built so that Lucy and Jack could "sink" into the "quicksand"...THAT'S why it cost ten grand, 'adam'!
-
@fromthesidelines You mean the quick sand gag...wow $10,000 is alot of money for just sand and water...lol.
-
Did anyone think of just offering Benny interest on his money?
-
Jack Benny played the vain cheapskate perfectly.

LOVE the tattoo bit, old sponsor reference, sponsor branding! Don't let Jack Benny get away. Does Jack have a thing for Lucy?
"I wish you could" priceless. I love the joke also referencing the odd way he walks "walk this way"(lucy walks with a strut) "I always do"

The final gag cost Lucy $10,000 dollars to stage (read the behind-the-scenes account of this episode in Milt Josefsberg's book, "The Jack Benny Show"- if you can find a copy!).

@fromthesidelines I can believe it! It is elaborate and that is $10,000 1967 dollars. Pretty expensive! Thanks for your insight as always Barry :) -Michael

@AfsAnehAfairytale I think Gale Gordon was a good compliment for Lucy. He's a great grouch, lol. They worked very well together. There will be more :) -Michael
