he wasn't joking about a woman trade... he was saying that nobody fucking wants elizabeth hasselbeck in our country...
and he's right lol

@matx6886 I agree--no one should be fired over such things, including Limbaugh. If anyone doesn't like what they're saying, don't watch/listen.

@JosephCa64 i never heard him call her a cunt but i could(probably) be wrong. If he did call her that i completely agree with you. When you have a good argument you don't have to muck it up with hyperbole and mean spirited name calling. That being said america as a whole needs to get some thicker skin.

Hassellbeck is a dope and a no-talent, nothing more than eye candy and she was wrong to infer that Bill was referencing the rape in anyway, as at the time he told the joke, no one knew about the rape. But, let's be real liberals(and I am one myself), if it's wrong for Rush Limbaugh to call Sandra Fluke a slut, then it is equally wrong for Bill Maher to call Sarah Palin a cunt. There's no need to degrade women like that and it does speak to a hostility towards women when anyone says such things.

more conservative women using political shields to disguise their stupidity under the flag of sexism? sounds like........Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Christine o Donnell

Whats up with these fucking subtitles

Look, I'm no fan of Hasselbeck, but Maher can be a bit of a douche. He didn't know about the rape when he made the joke, and she implied that he did, which was wrong, but having found out about the rape and been confronted about it, he should have at least clarified that and said that he doesn't mean to make light of rape. It's all a bit of a song and dance, but that's what public figures do, they take responsibility for the implications of their statements.

She is well, a LIAR, a BIGOT, a HOMOPHOBIC and a RACIST BABY. She should be fired from the view, but then that show would have no controversy. It's funny how she attacks Joy every single day as if it's all personal. She's always out of line and an embarrassment to herself and women, well, I'd say an embarrassment to the republicans, but they really truly have no shame, seriously.

"Do you remember that show on Nickelodeon called angry beavers? They made it into a live action show. It's called The View."
~Bo Burnham
She really has NO business being on this show and she CERTAINLY has no right to comment politically.
What an A**Hole!!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is hiding behind her gender here. "We don't trade women here". He was treating them as individuals, it's got nothing to do with them being women. Men are subjected to the same kind of comments, if you can't handle it - get off the TV
