@TroyChappy I OK !. I tried this flight today(on fsx) and used the HDG in autopilot and DID have to keep dialing in the appropriate heading for the CDI needle to be aligned. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Good video. Couple of clarifications though: The vertical needle on the VOR indicator is the CDI (course deviation indicator).
The OBS (Omni Bearing Selector), the little knob to the left of the instrument, is used to tune the radial. When intercepting a radial you select the radial using the OBS then turn the airplane to a heading 45 degrees relative to the radial. There are arrows on the DG for 45 degrees. Track until the CDI centers then turn to a heading equal to the OBS selection. Easy.

@10svenk Yes, if you right click you can select 'Mouse Yoke' and your mouse acts like the flight controls.

How do you now your heading for e xample, heading 2550??
GustavDaPilot 1 month ago
@GustavDaPilot Your heading is displayed in the compass and in the direction indicator. The direction indicator is the one beneath the artificial horizon (the one with the blue and brown on it and the little orange wings).
