MIDIRS Midwifery Digest is a quarterly publication consisting of 144 pages of news, reviews, original articles and reprints of the best midwifery information from selected journals, websites, books, pamphlets, government reports, conference proceedings and other sources are regularly scanned and selected for inclusion in the Digest. The articles, which include a full list of references, will help you to broaden your knowledge and skills.

When you subscribe to one of the MIDIRS information services, you will receive a copy of the Digest in the post each quarter. The Digest links to the MIDIRS Informed Choice initiative by having an 'IC' icon on articles that update information in the Informed Choice leaflets. Articles in each issue are also highlighted for use as part of your professional portfolio. These articles will not only provide you with a cost effective option to earn PREP accreditation, but the opportunity to:
Maintain and plan your professional updating
Reflect on your practice and examine local policies and procedures
Promote discussion with your colleagues.

The Digest will be of interest not only to midwives but also to other health professionals and
non-statutory agencies involved in the care of women and their babies in pregnancy, during
and after childbirth and up to the first year of life.

Why Subscribe?
Being up to date with issues that concern you in your professional role leads to confidence and competence in practice. Midwives, along with other health professionals, have an obligation to fulfil their continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.

A MIDIRS subscription can help you meet your PREP requirements, as well as assist you in your professional role through articles and updates on current midwifery, medical and social research.
