Government holds the power. The government rationalizes that it has the answer. So it can continue to hold the power. Bailout, stimulus, bailout, stimulus and so in in a downward spiral.

The things to watch here are the meetings around the world by leaders & central bank heads, like the latest 1 in Davos. The solution is always more government & more power concentrated in the hands of central banks. In every nation it's the same crap regurgitated & respun - we need more government, more regulation & more central bank intervention. No 1 questions whether the mess we are in now is due to: artificially low interest rates set by the central banks, & reckless spending in government.

Things are pretty bleak, and I think it's important that people realize just how precarious the economy has become. There are still far too many people living in denial, believing that things are going to turn around. Those people need to get their heads out of the sand and fast if they're going to protect what's left of their personal wealth.
