Reportedly the first song written by Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) at the suggestion of Squire Reynolds. The subject was a battle between two hills controlled by rival Fairy Kings. This version on diatonic autoharp.

  • great sound!

  • I love O'Carolan and you play the pieces so beautifully. Thank you for the post. I will be listening to your playing over and over again. Do you give concerts? I live in the San Francisco Bay area.

  • It's so pretty I just want to cry.

  • Love O'Carolan and love the interpretation and skill of the autoharpist.

  • nice performance. been searching other autoharp vids on youtube, and alot of people lack finesse and dynamics with their picking/strumming, so kudos to you on that.

  • Such a lovely tune.. wasn't aware that it was the first song O'Carolan composed, thanks for the info! ~ Ryan
