This is my litte impression of an old song called "Rocking Chair" which was either written or recorded previously by Rick Cardwell I'm not sure because i;ve never heard the original version. This version is based on a version recorded by a french artist named Cayouche from the northern parts of New-Brunswick. As always I welcomr your comments and hope that you enjoyed! Bluesmanstrat

  • @LeCrazyFrenchman , yes most times but does have a lot tunes out the C position too.I find that a lot of his tunes out of the D position easier to pick out of the C position with capo on 2. Like Cayouche told me one night at a party ";it's easier on the fingers" haha..Salut!

  • @Bluesmanstrat1 Most of cayouches music follows that variation exept for odd picking.

  • @deformedacorn

The chords are : D, G,D,A, D, G, D, A, D then the chorus goes G ,D,A, D,G,D,A, D, Hope this helps, thanks for watching and good luck with it.

  • Could someone let me know the chords for this song? I'm just learning to play and can't quite pick out chords. Thanks

  • i'm really sorry for your lost. Thanks for commeting. This youtube is amazing. I never knew Ricky but i get to learn a little everytime someone comments. Thqnks

  • Lyrics & music were recorded & written by life-long friend Rick Cardwell. He grew up outside Waco at Rock Creek, TX. We lost him on April 26, 2009 but will by his own promise join his open arms when I cross that river myself. He leaves 1 beloved daughter, Diedra. He was a treasure. Rick - first love & last love. The song was about his Grandaddy McCrary on the home-place across from Tickle's Store. He's my Forever Love. Rick's Girl, Always.
