Hey guys, http://www.begbucks.com here I demonstrate my directional long range Wifi antenna in use & the setup accompanying it. The antenna comes as the flat white receiver & 2.5 FT USB cable, however I added modifications that can increase the distance cord up to 50.5 Ft. {Though initially I didn't have the bicycle tube method for "Sealing Outdoor Wifi Connections" so the extra piece of 16Ft cable no longer works and the replacement wire thinner doesn't work at all (generally you want to use a certain brand that about $9 on eBay delivered that can be noted by the thicker cabling so now I only have 32 Ft/34.5 total.) This antenna works with b/g networks, but a newer 48.5 Dbi version also recognizes "n" networks for lower ping such as when gaming and aimed at the rite network either encrypted or open{about 10-20% are usually at area libraries, schools, country clubs etc, so even if you live in a very unfriendly neighborhood don't discount this option) can save you some $46 a month with taxes ~ or petty a fortune!

Although the unit is weather resistant, I also show how to temporally hookup as needed if you live in a house where drilling a hole in a wall or by a window sill isn't an option,

It works well picking up signals for several hundred feet even in forested areas, across streets, thru several houses to reach the desired signal. The antenna I purchased from a Canadian seller back in Spring of '09 for about $160 delivered to the states plus the cables that ran another $35 & the pole, a scrap 2 X 2, so about $200 total - pays for it self in no time! & the added benefit is if you or someone in your family exhibits Wifi sensitivity (such as Headaches, Drowsiness, Fatigue, etc.,) due to a Wifi bubble, this setup can reach the outside signal while eliminating the side effects of Wifi.

So you don't have to bound in chains & shackles to your dialup 56k Modem.

  • I think wifi should be free for the world! We all share this planet , We should all share the internet too. It is in fact called the world wide web is it not ?

  • @funkyspunkmuffins It sure should be & you are point on. Perhaps it was originally meant that way.

  • 6K a year and your focus is to pick up long range wifi connections and post videos on youtube. If you came on here promoting how you were running bio fuel that you brewed up to save a buck or how you managed create free energy then I would be entertained.

But to broadcast here is how I pickup free internet from 2Kms away..........

    Good luck with your adventures.

  • @Cjudd001 Thank you for bringing that up; in order to offer you videos such as my diesel WVO/WMO/WTF, etc., genny conversion & other propitiatory projects this Oct. including subvocal RS one must maintain a medium to connect.

Which is why "I'm playing with antennas"

  • @Cjudd001 Besides, I tap in usually at night when most have drunk their eggnog & are tucked in awaiting another day to possibly foot the bill for someone's else's penurious renaissance.

Although my target is the greens. In this way I never had a complaint.

  • @Cjudd001 You are right in one way, that "Yes" I'm a secondhand Joe off sorts & procure a modest living of the waste of others hence my $6000 per year income requirement.

I seldom use a cell phone (& then at a distance of several inches with the earpiece turned up) as it's a radioactive device however slight, as well as a homing beacon for imperialism.

TV & radio signals operate on another bandwidth that usually doesn't wreck havoc as it's WiFi counterparts do.

  • @Begbucks You can make all the excuses you want and dance around the truth...

And that is that you didnt pay for it. Someone else is and its chewing up their bandwidth.

As for the intrusion, what about Radio and TV? What about mobile phones..

The airwaves are full of radiowaves. I bet you have no qualms about putting a mobile phone upto your head..

You do know that you transmit as well with your wifi theiving antenna.. What about the noise your making onto others?

  • @Cjudd001 Not comparable. One locks his portcullis on his adobe to keep kleptomaniacs at bay. But the WiFi penetrated my property so I tapped in. Wifi can cause ill health effects for some so here one could have a case for emf intrusion. I rather chose to recycle that bane to my benefit.

Besides I use very little; far less than 250gb mo. allocated by the cable company.

How does that make me a groveler?

  • Golf course 1/2 mile off for patrons...

Open networks, Older or less computer savy people that dont know any different.

So lets say, I forget to lock the front door to my house. You walk by and check to see if its unlocked.. It is.

Does that make it right to go in and take anything you want?

Businesses that have free wifi have it to atract customers, not free loaders.

You answered my question in your first paragraph.

    Your a smart parasite.

  • @Cjudd001 It's not stealing per say as we have a golf course about 1/2 mile off thru woods, several houses, across streets, that invites this activity although likely more for patrons.

Besides open networks are open of this very reason: ~ To share the internet ~ If they prioritized security, they would be encrypted wouldn't they? As for a $200 investment to save $550 per year for some 25 gigs mo max. on something as free as the air we breathe, I have no qualms or reservations about doing so.
