Hard to hear Lloyd's lyrics from the stage monitors, however you can tell it's homegrown blues from the city of Roses.. "As The Years Go Passin' By" is one of Lloyd's signature pieces, shared with guitar legend and virtuoso Jim Mesi. Two of Portlands's finest keyboard legends also lend themselves to this project; Dover John "Cliffs" Weinberg on keys and "King" Louie Pain on Hammond Organ. Dave Kahl on bass and Kelly Dunn at the drums are also reglar contributors to the Portland Music scene. Dan Fincher can be seen stage left of the horn section and from that position out to the edge of stage it's Joe McCarthy on Trumpet, Brad Ulrich on Bari-sax, and the late Robbie Jordan playing alto. We will all miss Robbie's energy and great music. The crowd goes wild at this amazing event held in the name of Paul deLay to raise money for the "Ethos music learning Center". Too bad you can't see this sold-out theater with blues fans spilling out of the balcony and the dance floor in front of the stage packed with appreciative fans. It was a great day to live in Portland.
