differentiate b/w scholors of islam and pseudo scholors of islam is essential! we are people who take middle ground and the middle ground is via the way of Quran(which is like GPS) and Sunnah (which are directions to save us from been lost).

Islam = Quran + Sunnah = nothing more or less.

Failure is a part of life but doing more than what Prophet(PBUH) did or allowed in terms of deen is like claiming you are better than him. aoozobillah.

All the different mosques in my area have adopted a way of zhikr which is named,

zhikr e kalbi (zhikr of the heart), in these sessions which are held every week they sit in a dimmed room and do silent zhikr (saying allahu) in there hearts while moving there head back and fourth,

they do not say it is obligatory or farz they say it is for the purification of the heart and solely for this purpose and not for the reward, the people who i have encountered say it has made significant changes in there lifes,

i confronted a couple of people involved in this type of zhikr and they give so many hadiths regarding this and how it should be performed,

2 of such hadiths states that you should do zhikr silently in your hearts and the other which states mohammed (saw) was told by the angel to go find and sit with the people who are doing the zhikr of allah (both sahih hadith), this type of zhikr seems to be spreading very fast, most mosques in my area have started doing it, and i am very confused, any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

@PussyPiston The actions of people will not teach you about Islam or Sharia, because people are not perfect. So if one doesn't know about Islam or Sharia, how would they know what actions are part of Islam and not? Someone could say eating fried chicken every Tuesday night is part of Sharia law, and one who isn't knowledgeable would believe it.
