It warms my heart that you want to come to our people. I am Lakota from my mom's side. I am a Christian my self. Many of the Lakota feel that the Christians took our land from us and killed our people. There were some missionaries that were respected by the Lakota such as Father Hare who built the first school for the Lakota children in the 1800's.
Feel free to ask quesions about our culture, but always be respectful of our culture and beliefs.
