  • No wonder hondas last forever...

  • This video is about the only thing i can find on youtube that goes in such detail on how to rebuild a engine. Thanks so much for posting this, it is making it soo much easier to rebuild my D-series engine. Thanks Once Again! Where did you get your Dial Bore Gauge?

  • @SilverXTune its so tiny thats why you can drive the bastard to the ground and rebuild it in one day lol

  • @again little inbred hillbilly where is your car? Post up videos! O that''s right you don't own a car fagget... hahaha

  • @v10viper04 watch?v=JnAJE6-BuyQ <video of this cocky ass hole in a peice of shit camaro getting beat by a 4 cylinder. This is what happens when your head is so big you that your ego stops you from learning from more intelligent people.

  • God damn I wanna build a motor!! So much I gotta learn though, hell I've never even pulled a motor myself before lol only seen it happen a handful of times

  • @PhizzleK96 It's like a plasticine substance that comes in strings. You can get different thicknesses to measure different clearances, for example the Red plastigauge goes from 0.001" to 0.007". Any bigger clearances need a different plastigauge. You can use it to make sure all the clearances between the bearing caps and crank journals are to spec (like he did in the video). If they're not, you can compensate by buying different thicknesses of shell bearings.

  • @AHStrip

.023, .0023, or .23? everything is in thousanths. .2 is two hunddred thou, .0005 is half thou.

  • WTH is plastigauge?

  • nice job, very well done. :-)

  • your missing 2 vids now do it on the head of the engine plz......make a vid on building the head

  • im learning how to do all this in gasoline engines class it is so cool to see a real life application of it (for money) :) we tore down and put together a 2.4 intrepid engine. mine started with no problems but my instructor thought it was funny to put a little water in the throttle body...lol glad i knew what white smoke meant.( there was no coolant running thru the engine)

  • THANKS BRO THIS HELP'D ME ALOT

  • wont the lube on the inside of the thrust shims give you a false end play measurement?

  • @EvansTuningDotCom

When you describe the ring gap clearance you come up with "23 hundredths" which should probably be "23 thousandths".

  • @EvansTuningDotCom good job man

  • @EvansTuningDotCom plastigage is just to check things...and you can see that he is just using it just to check...not as a primary..this guy is good..fuck all the assholes who think otherwise.!

  • hey bro what the ret way to break in a steert motor like what oil and many mils

  • @nightmathzombieethan no the threads wont be able to keep in that kind of pressure, and you would need to torque the bolts down to 5,000ft/lb to generate that kind of oil pressure to crack the block. before you could even put that kind of pressure down the threads would strip anyways. its perfectly safe, maybe unnecessary but is a good substitute for antiseize.

  • I'm curious why he puts oil on the bolts for the mains and the girdle. I can understand using antiseize, or even using a little bit of lubricant, but I'm curious about the oil. Wouldn't that risk cracking the block from hydraulic pressure when they're torqued down? I'm not criticizing, just curious, so any INTELLIGENT answers/ideas from anyone would be appreciated. Any Know-it-all A%%hole punk comments will be ignored.

  • what is this plastic gauge or journal and why is it plastic? doesnt it melt?

  • Can you explain me why you put these side near the bronzine at minute 0:50???

  • Very nice thourough build !

  • Wow wonder if this guy still visits his youtube channel. I wanna use his vids when I build my GSR turbo as reference. He did an excellent job covering the bottom-end assembly, wonder if he has any for head assembly.

  • @EvansTuningDotCom u tell him your video rock
