Lem, two pieces for doublebass is written by contemporary Italian composer Franco Donatoni in 1982,and was dedicated to Italian bassist Franco Petracchi, premiered by Stefano Scodanibbio in 1984. These two pieces share a meticulous notation and non-metric organization, which serve the composer's philosophy of musical complexity. This piece is the required repertoire for the "Lucerne Festival im Sommer", one of the leading contemporary music festivals.
The cell phone near the end added an oddly transcendent effect :O

@Basswithmustard: It reminded me, When we were rehearsing Schöberg Transfigured night the other day, right at the end of the piece, a cell phone rang right at the G.P. bar, it was quite an "oddly transcendent effect" as well. :-)
