Karate Pate 2: The Wrath of Krack (part 2/2)

experimenting with the "share..." function in FinalCutPro (which lets you directly upload to youtube, without exposing settings). if this video looks TOOO crappy, it may dissappear temporarily while I upload using a different method. (edit: eh, actually it looks fine. I won't be the one to take it down...).

anywho. this is the second part of the epic Karate Pate 2 movie. Kind of the first art film I ever tried to make during College. Really, I just shot a bunch of random things, and then found that they didn't fit into a cohesive narrative. so i ran with it... actually I don't know if that is how we approached it. maybe there was a script? ... anywho, I like to think that it turned out very expressionistic.

... at some point jonason wrote the narration. Can't remember if he wrote any of the dialogue that was used"on the day." ie, anything that is actually spoken by the characters. but. he must have? hmm.

I dimly recall that he edited it way down (mostly stuff in part1 which you don't see here), and I went back and put a bunch of it back in. Because it was really funny/interesting to me. So part 1 really kinda sucks and rambles around. ... So it's kind of neat to just show part 2 first. cut to the chase.

uhhh, The stuff in this part of the video is most from a later shoot, in corvallis. It is probably better than all the stuff we shot in the city (because it focuses on the "fight"). uhhh. i'm not writing this description well. it's late. i'm tired. i'll edit it later.

addendum: this vid was muted due to warner music dispute. wha? I've filed an official claim dispute. It seems the audio has been restored. Maybe that's just a temporary glitch? dunno. time for sleep. sigh.
