OH MY GOD you guys are morons, you sound like my mother. I moved out at 16 (stupidly) and eventually couldnt go to school because i needed to work. The only person who could help me was a social worker, she didnt side with me and told me i should go home, but gave me recources. They help the traumatized get better while the busy nurses leave them in a cold hospital room. Fucking retards. Social workers are also sociologists,psycologists, and other liberal arts or social science graduates!

It wasn't your calling I guess, I am prepared to be slammed against the wall with red tape, to be pushed to my limit, frustrated and angry but I want to use that anger to always be a reminder that things need to change. Secondly I am not going into this job to be thanked!!!

We know that no matter how much we advocate the government will never do what is really needed to be done. We know that the case loads will be huge and the time will be limited. That we will have to make quick decisions that could deeply affect a child. More people then ever burn out in this area of social work. You want to be angry, be angry with the government that traps us into being able to do nothing or be forced to do things will feel is not in the best interest of the child but we have to

I have never read so many stupid comments in my life. Social work is a profession of many many different faucets ( School Social Work, Hospital Social Work, Crisis, Advocacy etc). Where I live the social work that I assume is being referred here is Child and Family services. Let me tell you as a student in social set to graduate this coming April, there is no place that more student social workers dread more then working for Child and Family services. We know all the god damm red tape involved

I am not surprised whatsoever that our social workers were initiated with such poor quality in their education. Their performance across the US clearly demonstrates the quality of their indoctrination. This academic instruction copy-cats the propaganda techniques of the Nazi's regime, in a warm fuzzy updated kind of way. Generations of our children will be lost.
