@SixtiesPopGold The beat was quite a popular r'n'b/soul/blues show, i remember seeing freddie king doing a sweeeeeet version of hideaway on it!

This clip is from a short-lived syndicated TV show called "The Beat" that was shot mostly in Texas in 1966. You can see other clips here on You Tube from various episodes of this show using the same sets and featuring Freddie King, Little Milton, Johnnie Taylor, Barbara Lynn, Louis Jordan, Gatemouth Brown, and others. Gatemouth ran and played in the house band for the show, which also had Billy Cox who would later play with Jimi Hendrix in Band of Gypsies on bass

@porky84 It's from a local Texas show called The Beat, which was relased on DVD a few years ago by the German company Bear Family Records.
