A collection of my favorite videogame music. Note that most of them are from games I played so I might miss some great ones from games I never played.

  • What was it about the SNES that seemed to have everyone make the best RPGS ever for it?

  • Now try growing some balls by playing the game without save states holding your hand.

  • Oh, and before anyone answers, I know it's sometimes called Battle Theme 2. However, on the OST, Battle Theme #2 is a completely different song for some reason? So yeah, anything else it could be called besides that???

  • Hey, is there an alternate title for this song? I've looked for it everywhere after hearing it here, but none of the soundtracks I've found seem to have it. They have every other battle theme, but no boss battle. Anybody know why it would be missing from the OST?

  • that big guy is so cool lookin

  • @Arc13

    1. SNES had limited graphical capability, so they were able to focus more on story. Making RPG was the best excuse for a developer to craft a big, old, open-ended medieval story out of it.

    2. The battle systems were easy to craft, since it's a text-based adventure with fancy sprites. Hardware-demanding real-time processes found in adventure and fps games were of little worry for this genre.

    3. Final Fantasy for the NES/MSX motivated competition, and SNES was the chanced battleground.

  • @Arc13 Both SNES and Playstation 1, had something special that just made them perfect for RPG's.

  • The games oldies are and will always stay the best

  • oh great, now i want to start aaaaaaaaaaaaall the game over, like i wasn't stuck at some place which i don't remember, thanks a lot

  • @sirjazzhands Never used Save States before... Never Believed in those things. lol

  • I remember getting all the Iris-treasures... And of course, nothing happened >_>

  • @Bopkasen oh HEEELLLLL NO im not sellin it. its like one of the most powerful weapons in that part of the game till like the middle of the back half.
