This siren was made by Federal Signal Corp. Although considered obsolete and a collectors item by many. In some cases it is still being used by Fire Departments across North America.
The model 28 was the dressed down version of the Federal model 66. The 66 was the all chrome version. I added a chrome light front on the 28 from a 66 to get a deeper sound. The original model 28 siren front cover does not do the siren justice. Enjoy!

  • what is the visual difference between a 66 and a 28?

  • @rhett443 , The 28 is the bare bones siren. Paint or hammer tone finish. The 66 is the same siren with a rear chromed bullet, two piece (polished aluminum) pedestal mount. Chromed stator and chromed grill front. It was also available with different red light options for the front. And even the rear back in the 50's. The 66 also came with a simliar base to the cp25 siren base years ago. Low profile two hole mount. Hope this helps?

  • this makes my doggies howl

  • I don't doubt it for a minute :)

  • hurts my ears over here :)
