M424Filmcast's webcam video November 15, 2010, 09:46 PM in answer to the critics of the church and the anti-mormon crowd. Critics and anti-mormons like to claim that the "Mormon God" lives on a planet or star called Kolob. The anti-mormon movie "The Godmakers" not only calls this fact, but uses the term "star-base" in order to put a more bizarre, sci-fi twist on Mormon theology.

This video is here to put this argument to rest. Mormons absolutely do not believe that God lives on a star or planet called Kolob. Like the rest of Christianity, we believe that God dwells in heaven, and like the rest of Christianity, we cannot and do not say that we know where that is.

  • Why did the Mormons do a baptism for the dead on Adolph Hitler?

  • @Farmerat911 Members of the Church leave all judgment in God's hands. They are commanded to perform vicarious ordinances for all deceased persons for whom records exist. This is no way guarantees or implies Hitler's acceptance of Mormonism or forgiveness. Such matters are left to God. Do you really wish to imply, though, that even the most wicked sinner might be beyond the reach of Christ's atoning grace? The Latter-day Saints do not. Are you a worthy judge?

  • @M424Filmcast The Mormon church does have something in common with skinheads, they both think it is possible that Adolph Hitler is a cool guy.

  • @Farmerat911 No. We don't. That statement only makes you look stupid. Apparently, you think that grace is not sufficient though. Good for you.

  • I am God.

  • @bneyens Okay, have it your way. This is Burger King, may I take your order now? You have apparently convinced yourself of a whole lot here. Good luck with that. I'm off to make a difference in the world. Sorry you don't wish to join the fight. Big Brother is here. No hard feelings from me. Later.

  • @M424Filmcast I too was Catholic, and the pope does not officially pretend to speak on behalf of God. Give it a rest. NOT ALL CHURCHES TRACK TITHING. As a former Catholic, how can you even say that? Does the collection bin pay attention? Are you punished if you don't tithe by not sealing with your wife in the temple to get into the "best" heaven"? That is horrible IMO. Very cruel monetary control. Secret handshakes to get into heaven? I am glad you were able to convince yourself. Enjoy.

  • @bneyens Testimonies are encouraged in all churches. You are attempting to paint a portrait of the LDS church that does not exist. Give it a rest. I really don't have time for this right now, as instead of rehashing the same thing with someone, I am busily engaged in fighting the changes being forced upon millions with Google and YouTube. If you wish to join the fight and unite with those of us engaged in the battle, see my channel. We need all the help we can get.

  • @bneyens That is ad hominem, and you are ignoring much of what christianity does these days. We do not require formal missionary service. All churches that take tithing or other offererings track payments. It's called accounting. In re: ads...give me a break. I can find 100's of ads from christian churches on tv, radio, internet and print. I was catholic for the first 14 years of my life. So don't tell me they don't believe that the Pope does not speak for God.

  • @bneyens Again, this can be said about any conversion to any religion. Large numbers turn to religion of all kinds when going through crises. This is not exclusive to the LDS church. In my case, atheism did not give me the answers I wanted. My years previous to atheism were spent in "historical christianity", and did not give me the answers. I simply asked about the church, followed Moroni's words, and found what I was looking for. 20 years later, I'm very happy.
