SLR destroyer, eh. Maybe 10 years from now, who knows. For now its just a toy.

@skulleton True. This was linked on a pro photog forum (which is why I had said that) where some were hailing it as a SLR destroyer in the making.

Why do I need to focus after the fact to get the dinosaur in picture? I can do that in camera already.
-
I don't think it claims to be for the pro market...I don't think anyone would think that in the first place.

@cipnrkorvo And increase the resolution to something that people can actually do something with. And the image quality is horrendous. This thing is equivalent to those ultra-cheap $60-$100 point and shoot cameras that you get on QVC and hsn.

hardware changes needed:
1) accept memory cards, instead of only having 8GB internal memory
2) accept changeable batteries. ALL photo cameras do
3) waterproof and rugged (like Olympus and Nikon and Sony do) would be AWESOME! imagine an underwater photo of fish, some close, some far, with this multifocus!
with all this included, I would buy it NOW

@tehDementedGamer yes make it open source! and also make an open source video format to do the same thing with videos!

How many megapixels?

WHAT'S THAT SOUND?!?!?!?!?!??!

WHAT THE FREAKIN MAGAPIXELS???????????
The problem with this technology in it's current state is that it is proprietary. You can only view photos and change the focus in the software it comes with- this hinders the product a great deal in my eyes. Might be cool for the consumer market, maybe built into phones, but this has absolutely no place in the pro market.
