Did he put the bags in the deep cold blue ocean...Did he notice that pumping air down their condenses the vapour into water and after x amount of inflate and deflates the energy bags full up with water. Rather pump air into an underwater cavern...shit now I'm starting to improve on his idea...

Yes, it will happen. I have already predicted the "Skywalker" turbines.(skywalker is a tower 1000ft+). Thanx professor for posting this. This is similar to my companies "Project Kanaydia" turbines that always stay moving, it appears I wasn't the only one theorizing that. Professor I beileve that my company will build these offshore & several onshore as well. I can see the sites being in the Great plains of America where vast expanses of corporate farmland are supplemented wit utility easments

How much energy is lost in the compression of the air?

@2882890 Whys that? =/

Nice Cadillac Catera, Professor! lol 4:25

@BaneOfFreeSpeech Seamus Garvey is not designing the new wind mill, that job will be given to engineers who will probably say what idiot came up with this idea. Seamus Garvey is not a comparison to Einstein with regards to his work or his intelligence. Bigger does not mean better. The windmill will need to be redesigned; it will be a weak structure even with expensive carbon fibre. There will be greater weight and wear and tear on parts. Will it be effective and economical to build a 100 more?

@153SCORN How many famous scientists have failed over and over until they finally got it right? einstien was right EVERY time?! What if instead of failing he just tried to improve things that existed...What if EVERYONE in history just did that....Nothing would have ever gotten made. How many times did the DNA brothers fail before they found the helix shape unlocking a world far beyond what we imagined. You have to try and fail. That is part of science. dumbass.

@BaneOfFreeSpeech what you seem to have forgotten is just about every new experiment fails. An untried method of storing energy and a prototype windmill. Believe me they will need to go back to the drawing board and start over. In the mean time the capital invested in the project will be unproductive. Rather improve on things, which have been tested and work than set up a fiasco.
"A few bags of air" Thats the reason for the over sized turbine do some research.

@153SCORN I am sure this guy who has a fucking degree did a bit more thinking then just an idea. There is a reason your not getting a grant and if you feel you deserve one. Try to get one. Wind isn't just going to stop all of a sudden. A few bags of air? where does it say it can only get a few bags of air? oh. because your still a dumbass.
