two things
1) the first time i see you without the moustache. you look like a twelve-year-old boy.
2) bare this in mind: ultimately, most people even those who can seem to have plenty of love around them, only have two or three (four, tops) close friends in which they can confide fully. as long as you have that, nothing else matters much.
also, i'm strangely glad that you feel your life is going in a positive direction. i'm going through things myself and it puts it in perspective.

It's certainly interesting and moving to watch you sharing your journey.

Thx.

I really admire your courage in taking this step! I wish you all the best in your pursuit of self-knowledge.
I'm curious, are you seeing a therapist? I'm going through this process myself, and I have found it amazingly helpful.
Also, it sounds like you may have already read some Alice Miller, but if not, her stuff if fantastic!
All the best,
Robert

Dude it is great you are doing this to improve your life. I am totally going to watch and comment on each video coming up as I feel I went through something similar. I feel it is important that parents show genuine/unconditional love to their child and while my parents "loved" me I never felt it genuine. This led to MANY problems that I am pretty much over now and I am moving on, it's great. If you ever want to send me a message and we can chat or something, no I am not hitting on you LoL

Awesome.
"Hierarchy of bullshit" I like that term!
And I know what you mean. Some kids, if they feel rejected, start looking for reasons for why they are lovable and they end up with a false self-image. I've been looking into that also.

Wow I'm at 4:15 right now, and you are making a really good idea. Here's an example I thought of. Alot of times when kids have no self-confidence this may be a real good cause. When kids have this core belief they need love from their parents, and their parents don't give it to them, the kid develops this idea that it is their own fault, not the parents.

I think you are looking much better without the moustache.
I'm looking forward to Season 2 of XOmniverse. This is like the teaser trailer.
"Will our hero arise victorious? He smites evil doers with religious frequency, but can he find the courage to do it within himself? Stay tuned."

Hey man, I really like your videos and these latests ones are pretty powerful. LIke someone said before me it takes major balls to identify this stuff because verbalising it can make it real and that can be pretty stressful. Much respect man, we all have our own shit to deal with you know? :)

I think you've firmly placed yourself in the group of Objectivists that I like and respect.
Honestly, I think a lot of Objectivists would interpret this kind of psychological work in various negative ways (calling it evading responsibility, whim worshipping, emotive, or whatever other standard issue Objectivist smears they want to just throw out there).

its cool dude. its awesome that youre able to talk about this in front of so many on yt. takes balls, so it earns my respect.

Talking about it in a public way helps. After I talk about something in a video and see people reacting to it, it feels like I've "outed" it so to speak and no longer have to hide it.
