Norfolk Southern westbound hopper train in Bremen,GA

This is not a great shot because I thought this guy was coming north on the Cedarville Line but instead he took the wye onto the Birmingham East District which is kinda rare which made me decide to put this video up anyways.
A westbound Norfolk Southern hopper train with some nice power crosses Highway 78 on its way to Birmingham in Bremen,GA on 11/20/09.

Very interesting. I caught the same power on this train 9 days later. I remember the power staying in the cycle a long time and hoping it would run on a nice weather day when I was able to capture and luckily it did. Most of the coal trains do run north to Cedartown but there is a mine in Berry AL that uses coal from this mine sometimes. I remember the power and train set finally went north to Cedartown because Georgia Power decided to get their next batch of coal from an Illinois mine

I had just seen the video you shot of it and thought to myself, that looks familiar haha. I wish I could have caught this guy in the daylight like you did. Not often do you get 2 Conrails on one train.

You're right. Normal routing for this train would be to Cedartown for a recrew to take the train to Cleveland TN.
