The sad thing is the blast is an awesome bike. They should have sold two, one really basic model for beginner riders, and a sportier version for people who want an inexpensive but still peppy little bike that's also dependable. I know people with thousands of dollars into their blasts that have turned them into a mid tier sport bike, something that would hang with 650's on a track.

In retrospect, I think it's clear that this is exactly the sort of thing that a desperate manufacturer does. Anyone remember the "Road to Redemption" advertising campaign that GM did in the early 2000's? The one where they admitted that they've been knowingly selling shitty cars for 30 years to their loyal customers, and now please baby I'm gonna change just give me another chance?

Innovation? That's pretty hilarious, I'm no expert on Buell, but aren't these guys the ones that kept putting those dated out-of-sync V-twins in everything? Yea, real innovative, then you trash talk all your customers because they buy a bike for a purpose other than racing.
