The Kershaw Ken Onion Blur is a mid-sized assisted opening blade. With a reversible clip, slanted thumbstuds, and a liner-lock, it provides lightning-fast one-handed draw and close. With a 3 3/8 inch blade and weighing in at only 4.2 ounces, it is perfect for carry. While marketed as a law enforcement/military knife, the Blur's one flaw is it's limited traction for the thumb making the knife not quite the best tactical option. That's not to say it can't be used. If opting for the matt black version, the 1670BLK comes in a very sharp and durable steel(Sandvik 14C28N) and has very comfortable, Trac-Tec inserts which work just as the name implies.

This will forever be one of my favorite assisted opening knives and it is highly recommended.
9/10(Highly Recommended)

  • Would you be able to carry it tip up and catch the thumb stud on your pocket to open it?

  • @7johnnyreb Yes, but I don't know how consistently. Not sure if it seems to be designed for that. I do not practice that technique though, so I may not be the best to ask.

  • This knife rules. I've had mine about 5 months. A simple, no-nonsense knife for people with nothing to prove,

  • @ranger5230 True that man!

  • i know , but one of your other comments said they got for cheaper and i wanted to get it from the horses mouth.

  • @monkeyboy8me fair enough. amazon still has the Blur's with silver blade for $32. definitely a steal. all the others are about $52

  • I thought I was buying this knife, called Black Blur from Amazon and it went thru Thompson Tools, (I think it was) but when it arrived it was the Tactical model with a different blade. I was told by Thompson that this is what Kershaw is now providing instead of the one you review. No matter. The Tanto blade (Thank you nuffums) really is more serious looking and #$%&@+ IT IS SHARP! Good review and either knife is great.

  • @StormForceTac 32 for the silver on amazon

  • I would highly recommend the tanto part serrated all black Blur

  • @monkeyboy8me Come on man.. would have taken a whole 3 seconds longer to look for yourself. about $52 on amazon
