This is circa 1996 Rainbow. Ritchie swaps instruments with Bass Player Greg Smith
-
I can see in his eyes,,,-PLAY THE GUITAR LOUDER !!!!!! :)
-
yeah, they are. and xou can hear if a guitarist plays the bass. but when you are in a band for a long time , you learn the instruments of the other members

@dasvadder12 I disagree.I know of alot of fine guitar players who try and play bass and they come off making the bass sound like a guitar. This is coming from a guitarist who made the switch quite a few years ago.Basic rock songs are easy to follow for some.Once a funk, swing,R&B song is introduced,it's over,LOL Have a great one.

I disagree: very few guitarists can play decent bass. Which doesn't stop most of them from thinking they can.
-
Yes of course he did...then you woke from your dream.
-
@QueenReigns1: Ritchie himself told me that this is all fake.
-
Hey, aren't you a moron for asking a stupid question like that...do you not recognise Mr Blackmore?
-
It's on youtube ..have a look.

If you listen to the live album "Nobody`s Perfect, you can hear Blackers play bass on the last part of "Smoke On The Water" recorded live in Oslo 1987. I know this beacuse i was there. Glover switched with Ritchie and it sounded pretty damned good!
i think a good guitarist can also play the basses
this is the best example
a good bassplayer can also play guitar
if you play in a band for a long time you learn a bit of the instruments from the other members
