The Rev is probably the best act I have seen at Glastonbury
Absolutely amazing

I was there - this wasn't his best number, shame his classis repertoire hasn't been uploaded. A phenomenal day...I used to listen to his greatest hits when I was about 15, I didn't even know he was playing Glastonbury, got right near the front, and it was freaking awesome. The man set the place on fire.

hehe Al Green may be a legend, I didn't dispute that, but this performance is laying a sh*tbeating on this song. I just rewatched the vid(which I will never do again) and I still think it's a wretched version of this song.
I see multiple other comments indicating people were there and it was excellent. As said previously, I bet it was a much different experience in person. *shrug*

my mother sang to me often and i misse her
-
JagedNS you are an idiot
Al Green is a legend
-
my mate pete said he went to this and it was great
-
ok, i know I'm going to get slammed on this but I just watched a few vids of him singing this song, which is a favorite of mine..and he ruined this song for me. It must be much better in person or something. He just seems like some egomaniac prancing around stage to me. Sing the damn song Al, it's not about you.

I should really say it was a truly wonderful experience that come's once in a lifetime for some of us if not all. Beautiful x

For Al Green Heaven must be on Earth, he has discovered his God Given talent and is able to share his infectious gift with the rest of us mere mortals, who only too willingly respond with the adoring praise, fit for an earthly King.
This is one of the best gospel performances I have had the fortune to hear in a long life. There is no one like Al Green-- definitely a phenomenonally gifted person on a multitude of levels! Thank you so much for posting this.

It is an amazing place and an amazing man! You really would have needed to be there to get it! Now almost ten years later and 7 years sober I relive these four days that I spent there often!
