@Jesse859 Its is possible to resist the holy spirit, as seen when Stephen preaches in acts, saying "you resist the holy spirit daily." Irresistible grace, when God chooses to pursue you, you cannot resist it.
Jesse, I don't want to be rude, however you are mistaken. If you keep reading, you will get to verse 52. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted?---This verse is referring back to 2 Chronicles 30:6-12 and 2 Chronicles 36:16. If you read the whole chapter 30, you will see that God was the one that actually gave the right heart in Judah in order to obey God. In Acts, he's reminding them about past prophets and the past people that didn't listen to God. But God had to change hearts
Acts 7:51 makes it clear that the Holy Spirit CAN be resisted. So is it possible to resist the Holy Spirit without resisting the grace that He gives? I don't thnk so.
