Forgotten Tomb - Scars TRACK REVIEW

Another fun requested Track Review for you fine viewers.

Today we have Scars by Forgotten Tomb from the album Springtime Depression. Forgotten Tomb is a depressive black doom metal band with very strong depressive, suicidal themes. The riffs remind me of those "black metal ballad" songs with some excellent layers of fast picking and leads. Most of the meat of the guitars are these style riffs. The drums are thunderous and huge sounding. Vocals are very angry and painful sounding with tons of reverberation. Sounds like this was recorded in an empty castle! Clocking in about 7 minutes, I found it to be a really enjoyable track. I wish there were a little more variation on the guitars, but the layering, thunderous drums, and great vocals really hit me in the right way. Fans of Shining and Wolves in the Throne Room will dig this for sure.

no i used my video camera. I wanted to spice up the editing in my videos. I was using my webcam with iMovie, Now im doing all that fun shit in Final Cut.

Yes great commentary, you have a good vocabulary, and i highly recommend you listen to Gris - veux tu danser different bad, similar sound but in my opinion, alot more skilled band, and the vocals are astonishing. Oh and if you love some thunderous bass drums in funeral doom, try any song by Nortt, very verrrry dark music, probably the darkest band i've heard.
