Atheists are not superior, but smarter than superstitious people for sure. Do mice, flies, snakes and dogs go to heaven? Religion says no, then can not go to heaven because they dont have soul (?). Then who says man has soul? man himself invents the existence of God just to cope with scary things such as death and aftermath. Animals don´t care about any God or Gods. Us. as living things, once we die we extinguish ourself. When you die you go to the same place where u came from. Nowhere.

@miket1m (5) sooner you understand it the better for you. If you want to look for god do it through science and I promise you, you will find it much faster. Also you should watch the first "Zeitgeist" movie especially the part were it talks about religions. It's here on youtube. It might open your eyes a bit more.

That some dude said they pierced my hands and feet and a few centuries later they crossed Jesus? Do you know Zeus the greek father of gods? Did you know he has 2 names? Zeus (Ζεύς) and Dias (Δίας). The word Zeus comes from the word "Zeuxi" (Ζεύξη) which means "fusion" and Dias comes from "Diaspasi" (Διάσπαση) which means "split".

@fablan6 Ok calm down. Did you read it? Did you read the part that says, "They pierce my hands and my feet" Did you read it? This Psalm was written by King David. It was written 800 years before the birth of Christ and 400 years before crucifixion was invented. If you read it you would have seen that this is a detailed description of the crucifixion of the Christ. How do you explain that?

@miket1m Yes and? What point is made from that? It's just someone who says that everything is done thanks to god. The fact that he was born etcetera. It gives absolutely no reason why his lord is real besides the fact that he just says so! Change the word "god" and "lord" in this psalm with the word "Zeus" or "Odin" or "Ra" or "Kali" or "Baal" or "flying spaghetti monster" or anything else as a matter of fact and then you come tell me what is it about. @ciscotie How do you know? How do you know that you're not wrong? Isn't this a form of faith? You're whole position is based on nothing but abstract possibility. There is proof for God, a lot of proof. What do you have that validates atheism? I would say absolutely nothing. Its an illogical position which is 100% intellectually indefensible. Smarter, do you really think so? We are not animals we were all made in the likeness of God.
