what do you do to get the powder charge down the bore when the barrel is horizontal?

@roudy1689
On the side near the back of barrel you will see 2 pins. The front pin is pulled & the front of the barrel is lifted with the rear pin in place. The front pin goes back into the chassis & the bottom of barrel rests on top of front pin which holds barrel up. Pins might be clearer on Barts Cannon 2 video. After loading, the front pin is pulled from chassis & barrel is lowered & the pin is put back into place. Barts Cannon 5 shows the periscope type scope used for aiming accuracy.

The barrel is machined at 1 inch. We shoot 15/16 steel balls wrapped in a greased wad.
Or we get 1 inch outside diameter galvenized conduit cut into approx. 1 1/2 inch lenghts & fill with melted lead. These are a perfect fit in the barrel.

Nice looking cannon. What size projectile do you use?

Thanx for the comment and I am sorry I have not been here in a while. But if you look at other comments on this video you will find the answer to your question.
