Alex Jones works for the goverment to keep America from becoming a Democracy when the collapse happens. You can tell he is former military by his movements. He is also making alot of money off of very fearful people, Hitler did the same thing.

Alex Jones tries his best, he might be out there but his stuff is coming to happen. Why for example, the complete lack of concern about the US economy? It's much easier to control it once it's fallen.
