Good ranched Bush grilse - sadly we've just learnt of the sad news that one of Bush's finest anglers, the big hearted Alan Trusse will no longer head to the Corrib. We'll miss his hearty laugh and the banter on the Bank. May he rest in peace.

Well done!! I've had a house in Portballintrae for nearly 20 years and I've never seen anyone fish the sea pool never mind hook and land a fish...Maybe give it a throw this season when I'm up there in July. Nice fish by the way.....but it would have been good to have seen you unhook it in the water and not lift by the tail as that can injure the fish badly. I learnt that from the guides on the Kola Peninsula in Russia and have been careful not to lift them by the tail ever since.

Its stuffed with fish this year 2007. Fished that stretch a few years ago, nice water. You can see them coming in off the tide.

the most important part is putting him back in... its a pitty wat we have done to our rivers i live in ireland and the irish goverment couldn't give a fuck about salmon....
