Big Brown Bear Part I

This fairy tale picture book was made as a gift to my spouse, Mr Bear, in 1979, after our first full year together. This was before the end of legal discrimination against same sex couples, before AIDS, before even the idea of gay marriage, and before most YouTubers were even born. But the fairy tale is still true, and the Bear is still the Hero. So here it is, unchanged.

Thanks, as ever, to the people who bring us Christian and Oliver, the first representation of love between two men to ring true to our own experience, and to unite an entire world community in hope.

Thanks to Molly Barr for filming the story after attempts with Apple's fancy but buggy software had nearly driven me crazy.
