1983 commercial - Gugino's Amoco - Diagnostic Computer

Local commercial for Gugino's Amoco garage, in Buffalo, NY. Mr. Gugino and his assistant proudly show off their newly-acquired Sun Diagnostic Computer, which allowed them to quickly diagnose problems in the cars brought to them for service. It looks so primitive by today's standards!

This commercial aired on Buffalo TV channels during late-night programming, when the advertising rates were low enough that small local merchants could afford to buy commercial time. I especially remember seeing this ad on WUTV channel 29 (Buffalo) during their late-evening syndicated airings of "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" and 1970s episodes of "SNL".
