President Barack Obama was asked at a press conference during his visit to Australia what America's plans to address climate change are. His answer tells us that America will not have a 'cap and trade' system in place by 2016.
However President Barack Obama did say:
The Australian carbon tax is a "bold strategy" (a diplomatic way of saying stupid & we will do the same when hell freezes over)
America will make more fuel-efficient cars
Invest in clean energy technology research
Wait until there is a global agreement

Obama is nothing but a teleprompter reading puppet. He really struggles answering questions without one. I suspect in the not to distant future after the permanent U.S. Base is set up in Darwin the usual gang will stage a Terror Attack on Australian soil and use it as a pretext to bring in a crazy police state here just like they have and are in America. Look for signs in the lead up such as militarization of our police.

If he believes climate change is a problem, he should recognise that a carbon tax will do Jack to reduce emissions. America isn't so stupid to introduce one - they will adapt without crippling their economy further.
