That was very nice to read. Thank you very much...

It has been my dream for a very long time to go to Boston and go to this concert, and especially to hear the 1812 Overture with the live cannons. I want to do it while Keith Lockhart is still the conductor...cutie pie that he is...

Thanks JimthUmp, I have been to the charles on the 4th several different times in my life. Couple of times with the National Guard, damn those cannons are loud and without, each and everytime I walked away with the same feeling like it was the first time I went, in awe and reinforces the feeling of being a American.
Awesome place on the Fouth!

I was there! As a visitor from New Zealand attending a Harvard Leadership course, this was a profound experience, sharing the joy of a nation. The music was fabulous, the fireworks spectacular, and the whole atmosphere just stunning to be part of. America at its best!

I'm not saying that, but it appears like an an US not american song, because we are all americans.
-
who said that it belonged to the USA? huh... so what you mean is that no americans songs are allowed to be played in any other country in the whole world?? that my friend is just retarded... America uses this song because its a great song and it works well for their purpose... jeez stop being such a little cranky bitch and get over it.
-
I have because this is world music, and it doesn't belongs to USA, it belongs to RUSSIA!! And it's not to be bad, is just the truth.
-
why do you have to bitch about it not being an american song... you bitter little a hole

Been to the Hatch Shell on the 4th several times when I lived in Boston and loved the shows better each time. Great show in a great city.

nao isso e o Hino do Estados Unidos da America.
You don't understand .... we Americans are of European ... African ... Asian descent! We can APPROPIATE music from other lands and make it our own!

it's about a country defending itself against a foreign invader, something we, as AMERICANS have a bit of experience with
