This is a quick demo of the setup wizard that is built into every NPort "A" Series device server. This setup wizard was designed to streamline configuration by consolidating the most common settings into a few user-friendly pages.

The NPort A Series is designed to easily enable communication with RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 devices over Ethernet networks. All NPort "A" Series device servers feature superior surge protection and extremely low power consumption.

  • @BigAlxr7007 Yep! The NPort 5110A seen in the demo has a RS-232 port, just like the MPPT TS 45A. In general, thanks to a variety of operation modes the NPorts are compatible with a broad range of devices and applications. For example, if you use RealCOM mode you can create a virtual COM port to connect, while still using the MPPT's MeterBus protocol.

You can get detailed specs or make an inquiry about your specific project at the link in the video description. Thanks for the question!

  • Can I set this up with a Morningstar MPPT TS 45A charge controller?
