@ultimatepowerpoint Man its not weird, its just because Intel sucks! I am still using socket A machines too. Right now I am at my Barton 3200 machine (its actually 2500 but I've overclocked it))) I am using lots of old stuff at home I even do have 286 amd based NOKIA DATA computer made in late 80-ies LOL. But AMD are my favs. Especially socket A. There are 3 such machines in my home.

you need much higher temperatures then 220°F to burn a CPU like this (you can see on /watch?v=bs6m_BgQc4c that not all burns are from the safety match), also 220°F is only a little above the boilingpoint of water, so it is not enough to see the Leidenfrost effect like in this video (according to wikipedia the leidenfrost point is about 379°F). 220°F may be the reading of the temperature sensor, but the sensor is not in the CPU on Thunderbird systems, but on the motherboard under the CPU.

if you cannot afford a stove, just buy a old motherboard and CPU, it will cost much less...

Now try with an Egg :D

Yeah, the Athlons will spank the Pentium 4 big-time unless you're running code designed for the Pentium 4.

I still have a PC with this CPU.
It sounds weird, but it works better than my Intel Pentium 4 HT! O_o
