Dude... this is not Ranchos Los Amigos... this is Hollydale Mental Hospital...and i found out too much information about this place that it just creeps me out...but i am thinkin to go and explore the place....

they use some of the buildings for the cops to train there they have signs posted up everywhere

my moms worked at rancho since i was like 6 and im 21 now that place has been abandoned and they remodeled some of the older smaller buildings and use them as little offices or storage, i love those big abondoned buildings and we always got to walk around those buildings cuz my mom knew all the guards there and they would tell her stories all the time a lot of ppl used to go in there and do devil worshipping ceremonies thats why they dont like ppl there

There are SOOOOO many nisconceptions about this place. Its been abandoned since the 90's but its been around since the 1880's. Other than being creepy as hell, there have never been legitimate proof of hauntings. I don't doubt its haunted, but i've been there and I think that people are exaggerating.

Be careful exploring thsi place when i went in to expore it one night in the summer of 2000 and we went in with painters masks on because we were concerned of asbestos.

i remeber coming here once with my cousin and my friend, we spent more then 2 hours being in there, and trust me, we went inside this one building and we moved alot of things and when it was time to go we heard footsteps on the second floor we ingnoredit, till we left one room and we heard clangy sounds in front of us, and we got scared,went to one way out but it was locked up so we had to go where we came from, and to our surprise, we heard something right behind us.

@ChrisOntiveros i went there last year on October 30th with a group of friends...we had a horrifying experience on the streetway, didnt even get to go inside...ive been there a bunch of times but that one time shocked the living hell out of me

love this place. i just went today, and i forgot my flashlight. haha. the second it starts getting dark, i'm outa there. i was never able to find the morgue. "/

Its the old water & power plant for the whole hospital.

Been abandoned since 1971.
