Cornet vs Trumpet

@MentalGenaration The trumpet is mostly cylindrical and the cornet is mostly conical. The trumpet and cornet have an equivalent amount of tubing but the cornet is more "compact". The air reacts differently in the gradually changing conical-shape of the cornet than it does in the mostly cylindrical-shaped trumpet. They are the same but not.

@Tomegirl117 *Slap*. A cornet has a warmer and more rounded sound than a trumpet which is often 'pointy' sounding.

"conical like a cornucopia"

@MickeyYahoo Take a look at my channel. Although I haven't done a "trumpet vs cornet" video there are examples of me playing both. If you pm me with something you'd like to know then I'll see what I can do to help you.

None one on Youtube seems to have gone beyond intellectually explaining the difference: I'd love to hear the contrasting sounds. Rather worthless without them.
