I have laid out 100 feet of 70 & 80 LB EX- New Haven Railroad track, a working switch, trackside & grade crossing signals. I wired them all up so that they work. I rebuilt this old Lorry Car, added a 6HP Gasoline Engine w/ Centrifugal Clutch, brakes, lights, etc and have had a lot of fun giving rides behind my home. I operate a railroading website http://newenglandrailfan.com Feel free to check it out and join.

  • is that illegal

  • @JasonsStories Check out my other videos regarding this rail car project. I've made a lot of changes the past couple of years. Enjoy.

  • Amazing Job. Have you worked on the railroad before? I don't know much about switch assembly, but seems like a huge undertaking.

  • @MachetePanda There wer 100's of parts that had to be dissasembled, marked on a diagram and then replaced to make it all work.

  • were did you get your rail

  • @fatzGeronimo Next town over worked out a deal with me to aquire the track and that was to set up a display track where there old historic RR statin was once located.

  • @DISTURBED8111993 Not boring to me, I have a lot of fun running this car up and down the track. Everything works including the signals, switch, grade crossing bell and flashers, it's a chunk of New Haven Railroad from the late 1880's through 1950's.

  • @randy242008 I only own a hundred feet of backyard, if I had the area, I'd lay a 1/2 mile of track. I think you missed the fact that several sections of rail date to 1886, all the signals work , the switch works, the grade crossing circuit works. It's a working display and has been a feature story in 3 local daily / weekly newspapers over the past 10 years.
