ok, i am nowhere near a "minimalist" if i need it... i carry it.. no matter the weight but THAT kinda makes me want to rethink my shelter loadout/ideas... thats awesome, simple, light, perfect for the way i camp, add a bedroll or something and i might adopt that, thanks! oh and definately gona sub... see what other great ideas you may have!

If the wind is blowing this rig would keep you up allllllllll night. Flap Flap Flap Flap....

nice..... and if you had 2 trekking poles to use on the enterence it would be even easier to get in and out, and if you angled the bottoms of them towards the back it would tention the ridgeline too with no cordage necessary.

@ArsonHammockHanger Thanks for directing me to the ridgeline video. Actually I meant to ask if it worked well pitched square for the hammock. I answered that myself by rewatching you Hoosier Hang video. I also noticed you have a bunch of videos I somehow missed. I will now watch them.
is that tarp 8x10' ?

Yet another reason I should pick up the Kelty Noah 12. I think the 9 is a bit more minimalist than I want. Will the 12 work well pitched as a square rather than a diamond?

@otter46544 Yes, it will pitch square, but because of it's shape it "bows" down slightly in the middle. You can see an example of it in my "Tarp Ridgeline" video.
