is an inspiring and eloquent story of a non-verbal boy whose open heart and significant cerebral palsy let more of his spirit come through him, touching many hearts and showing us the many faces of God. Dominique showed me how at every moment I can soften my hardness and come back into my heart connection. I believe these beings come here intentionally to show us who we are being now and what we have to do to be who we really are. In My Stroke of Insight, Jill Bolte Taylor gives a scientific description of what happens to her when she has a hemorrhage in her left brain hemisphere: unable to do anything that requires motor skills or thought, she has instead feelings of amazing love and seamless oneness with everything and everyone around her. She too describes her handicap as her gift, just as I observed and propose to experience Dominiques disability. It is what allowed him to experience his unswerving heart connection and unconditional joy in a body that was unable to participate or cooperate. It is the gift of the handicapped. They recognize us. It is time for us to recognize and acknowledge them in a big way. People are starting to hear them. It's time to explode their truth and relevance to us.
